Both ends are incredible massive Winged Gryphons, each carved from a solid piece of marble.

Each gryphon is 40" long and 8" wide.

Notice the detail of the carving on the wings, in the face and even the claws on the feet.

The five back panels are intricately carved with grapevines, leaves and clusters of grapes.

Each curved panel is 18" high and 3 1/4" thick,

separated by a rectangular pyramid-capped column,

ALL SOLID MARBLE!

The seat of the bench is comprised of three 4" thick slabs of solid marble. There are two supporting legs.

The seat is 18" above the ground level.

Note: one of the bench slabs has been repaired sometime in the past. It is VERY solid - there is NO sag or give to it at all.

The repair is shown in the above photo. Otherwise, it's in near perfect condition.
The repair is as solid as the rest of the bench!

There are only a couple minor chips and nicks.
